Yes. From time to time I'm writting some posts, but now rather rarely. When I was creating the Club few years ago I have been writtening some articles, expecialy about the Wartburg Castle, some history of Wartburg "merk" and some technical texts. Few years ago in Polish Internet was not much information about the car. On polish forums I have got the another nick - "Kruchy"

And about the car - In front I've got springs from Skoda 120. I cut the springs, but I don't really remember how much - 3 maybe 4 spirals [ Rolle/Windung/Gewinde ] if you know what I mean. I've got the rear Skoda 120 springs because they are stronger than front spirngs. In Skoda the "motor 1300" is in behind the car so it must be stronger - engine is heavy. They are good, they are really stiffer [ steif ] than oryginal Wartburg's springs but it is not enough for me, especially with so much low front. I need something harder, because on the street holes the front sometimes is to close the surface [ if you know what I mean ]

What type of springs are You putting in Wartburgs in front and rear ? Have you got some patents ?

I am just looking for a solution without cutting any spring, because that means a big problem with the police...
We have some possible spring types, but they are not as deep as yours...

...as you can see the front ist not really deep. That's why we all are looking for better idea to can the grade from the back wheels...

I've got another question so far; How expensive are the white indicators for Wartburg 1.3? Are there anyones available in Poland ?? I hope for a lower Price than in Germany because I am looking for them.
Here a pic;

So in Poland of course we have Police :D, but the are a little bit blind especialy when they are see the old nice car, after the good modifications. They are more tough for cars from 90-ties and younger of course if the owners have some illegal modifications. The bigger problem is then when we have the check [ polish TUV ] but even than people can close eye when see the old nice car, especialy from the socialist country :D

About the cutting the springs, I know that is not a good solution but it is really good, nothing is wrong. I never had any technical problems with this. Me and my friend we are thinking about another way to make the spring lower. Do not cut the spring but, make a spring hot [ make a heat ] by gas-jet [ Lötlampe/Brenner/Schweissbrenner ] and squeeze [ compress ] the spring under the press [ Presse ] and leave it till normal temperature eventualy make once again harden [ härten/abschrecken ] if you know what I mean. The spring will be harder and lower but not cut.

Tell me if you can and know some tips, and kinds of another springs. From what types of cars, what spring on the front, what type on the rear. I think that you have some patents just like the polish owners - Skoda 120 in the front and Polonez Truck - diesel version in the rear. What are the german tricks ?

You have given me some photo of the grey 1.3 with nice light metal wheels [ felgen ], what type of spring are there ? Front/rear ?

About the indicators - all polish Wartburg's onwers is buying the indicators on Germany. My friend did it on the

https://www.reich-tuning.de/shop/index. ... 46_168_171

Just like you know [ I think ] this is the cheapest place. In poland we have only white front indicators to W353 just like I have. Even the rear lamps to my car I get from Germany. From Germany but they are from Hungary [ I think it is true ]. Have you got the front and rear lamps to 353 from Germany or only from Hungary ?

I bought a complete Chassis for Wartburg 1.3 (The grey one!) at www.project601.com, esspecially the second term!
http://shop.diversys-webeasy.de/index.p ... 497da5040f

But the problem is, that the Front Spring is much too hard, thats not so good...the back System is much more softer (harder than the original ones but very soft in relation to the Frontsprings.

To make the spring shorter than real is also not very smart, because the sence of a spring is not in use anymore. If Your Spring is too hard, your Car components around the chassis will brake, thats why I don't prefere the Spring Pressing. It is also stricktly forbitten in Germany....
Sorry, my English is not the best...

Hello - it is me again.

I'm writting here for couple of reasons. Me and my friend Jurek [ Murdok ] also owner of a Wartburg, we would like to visit you at Wartburg’s meeting [ treffen ] this year in Eisenach. I've send a letter to the people who are organizating it but they didn't give me any replay. The treffen is on the 3-5.08.2007 and still I don't know anything. So if you can answer for my questions - You have got many of experience with this meeting [ treffen ].

Mostly because of low conditions of ours Warburgs and financial also, we can only come with my daily car, unfortunately not a Wartburg. And here’s my question. Can we come on treffen in replacement with different car than Wartburg? [ Mercedese W124 ] Is it possible ?

’m also curious about some technical aspects:

1. Entrance at treffen costs 10€. Is it per person or per a car? Is there any extra costs on this meeting ?
2. Is there, at campsite, an electricity? Because we would like to boil a water or charge batteries.
3. Is there any “water-zone ;)”? or should we take with use some reserve?
4. Is sightseeing is individual or is it a part of a plan of treffen? [ Museum of Wartburg, wartburg castle ]
5. Dou you plan a parade? If yes, can we take a part of it without a Wartburg?
6. When is official start and end of a meeting and is it a main part at Saturday?
7. Dou you have any map of a place of a treffen? Does it have any address or maybe you have geographical co-ordinate, to write it in GPS?
8. Could we ask for a phone number with somebody who speak English, in any trouble?, because our German’s is really bad.

Can I ask you to send me a plan of a treffen in English, if you have? Because I can’t find it in a net.

I hope you can tell me something about the treffen, I hope also that me can meet face to face. How many of you will be on Eiseanch ?

Thanks and seeya.
